Are you using a round based combat system? like in DnD or something? and by "regeneration to the skills" you mean the cooldown time? If the above are all true: just have the skills disabled for a number of combat rounds to represent cooldown times.

The system is like D&D . I was unsure because of how fast the regeneration on some of the skills are . i guess i was being dumb this morning.
HEH... This whole system messes with my head. Lol
Thanks for the reply, on most forums my post will grow mold before anyone answers.
If anyone has any Ideas please post them...i mean anything...

Here's a thread I started ages ago to try to garner interest in a PnP version of GW. Since then, I have become way too busy to contribute much in making it happen (newborn, working overtime, etc.), although Eugaet has started a wiki on it. You may want to contact him.

Yeah, we did have a GWPnP group going for a short while, but I got busy with family and work as well and haven't even checked the wiki/forum I set up since February or so. We didn't get very far before the project died. I still chat with Aretziel every once in a while and Lasher pops up on IM or in-game, but we haven't discussed the GWPnP project since Feb. Ensabah Nur was the fourth member.
Site and forum is here. You can see exactly how far we got. I just haven't removed the site yet.
I think I/we might have had an idea for regeneration...I'll see if I can recall it and post back. So do you have a site set up yet or is it just a bunch of notes scattered around your room at this point?

Ideal choices might be Hero system - which already has an identical mechanic built in with the END concept, and BESM d20, which has a very similar set of concepts with its energy mechanic.
Both could allow for nearly instant ports of the GW setting, you'd just have to nail down the setting in enough detail first.

Yeah, the forum's locked out if you weren't a member. Don't worry, you're not missing anything...there isn't much there anyhow. We didn't get far at all before RL and other responsibilities took over.
We had two versions planned. Basic, which was basically a 100% straight-port of the GW gameplay and mechanics, and Advanced, which would have been the d20 version.
For regeneration rates, I would recommend what GreatLich suggested. Each skill, after usage, would be disabled for a certain number of turns. How are you handling cast time?
How far along are you with this project? Sending you a PM...
